Recognized by their cheeky sayings but known for their charitable core, Bella Tunno has been a philanthropic brand since the day they launched in 2005. They made a commitment to never sell a product without donating a portion of the sales to help non-profit organizations. In 2014, Bella Tunno learned that 15% of children in the US and 20% worldwide are hungry. It was a call to help. Since then, ending childhood hunger has been the heartbeat of their business. For every product sold, Bella Tunno donates one meal to one child in need.
 
To celebrate the brand’s 15th anniversary, Bella Tunno launched an exclusive bib collection – THIS BIB FEEDS KIDS – that donates 15 meals for every product sold. “It’s our birthday gift to the world.” says Michelle Buelow, Founder of Bella Tunno. “We are going to exponentially multiply the meals we can donate through our anniversary bib. There is no better gift then to know that we are doing everything we can to combat child hunger.” The bib reads “This Bib Feeds Kids” and aims to start a conversation to end child hunger.
 
Unbeknownst to the brand, the introduction of their collection and the mission behind it, could not be more timely, as the current pandemic is predicted to raise the food insecurity rate by an unprecedented 10%- equating to 1 in 4 children hungry in the U.S.
 
As a small company with a big mission in a time of desperate need, Bella Tunno was featured on Good Morning America’s Deals and Steals on April 13, 2020. In partnership with ABC, the brand highlighted the THIS BIB FEEDS KIDS collection to shed light on the growing issue of childhood hunger while simultaneously combating it by donating 15 times the meals per bib sold. Tory Johnson curates the Deals and Steals segments every week and recently said “Bella Tunno, one of my favorite companies, was able to donate 57,150 meals to feed hungry children in April because of purchases made by Good Morning America viewers when their THIS BIB FEEDS KIDS anniversary bib was featured on GMA Deals & Steals. I’m grateful for the big heart of GMA viewers who embrace the chance to support small businesses with important missions.” The viewers connected with Bella Tunno’s mission and the bibs sold out within hours.
